Nelsen Water Solutions RO

Aqua Classic Series

Designed to solve a wide variety of water quality issues, a Nelsen reverse osmosis drinking water system can provide you with a compact, affordable and effective solution for achieving the best possible quality drinking water for your home. Every water supply is different and our aging plumbing and municipal piping can contribute to contamination of your drinking water. A reverse osmosis (RO) system forces water, under pressure, into a module that contains a semipermeable membrane and a number of other filtration steps. The RO system has a prefilter designed to capture larger particles, chlorine, and other substances; a semipermeable membrane that captures more contaminants; an activated carbon filter that removes residual taste, odor, and some organic contaminants; and a storage tank to hold the treated water for use.

The Aqua Classic Reverse Osmosis Systems are traditional in design with blue filter housings and a 3.2 gallon blue steel tank.

Description

Benefits of a Nelsen Water Solutions System

No Bottles

No more bottled water! No more expense of purchasing over priced, most often filtered tap water. Less plastic bottles affecting the environment.

Tastes Great

Reduces up to 96% TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) leaving clean, safe and great tasting water for drinking and cooking.

Extra Protection

Reverse osmosis is very effective in removing bacteria, such as salmonella and viruses, including Hepatitis A, the norovirus and rotavirus, and protozoa, such as giardia.

Healthy

When used in conjunction with a Water Softener the RO removes sodium molecules from water. Drinking RO water provides benefits to people with high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease or any sodium restrictions.

Key Features

  • Reverse Osmosis improves the taste, odor, and appearance of your water
  • Reverse Osmosis will minimize your exposure to contaminants and may potentially reduce your allergy symptoms

  • Reverse Osmosis significantly reduces unwanted substances such as carcinogens; heavy metal ions such as cadmium, chromium, lead, and mercury; chlorine, cryptosporidium, salts, turbidity, nitrate, VOCs, organic compounds, dissolved solids, tastes and odors, leaving great tasting water
  • Reverse Osmosis filters out pharmaceutical traces from water; the Federal Government has not established safe levels yet
  • According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, reverse osmosis filtration systems can effectively remove lead, making it safe for consumption
  • Removes chlorine and chlorination disinfection byproducts such as trihalomethanes (THMs), which could potentially contribute to low birth weight, preterm birth, birth defects, fetal deaths, and other adverse pregnancy problems
  • Peace of Mind - knowing that you’re providing your family with the best quality water right at home for drinking, cooking, ice, baby formula, & pets

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

Booster Pump - When low pressure, low production, or high TDS is a problem, choose the Aqua Classic Reverse Osmosis system with a built-in booster pump. Increased production and rejection rates result from an average pressure boost of 60 PSI before the membrane.

Designer Faucets - A variety are available to match almost any decor. Ask your dealer which colors and styles are available.

Extended Contact Carbon Adsorption Filter  - This in-line filter "polishes" the water by removing any unwanted tastes that may have been picked up in the storage tank.

Permeate Pump System - Powered only by the hydraulic energy of brine water usually lost to the drain (i.e. no electricity required), the Permeate Pump forces product water into the storage tank, reducing membrane back pressure and maximizing available feed pressure. These pumps dramatically improve the efficiency of RO water production, reducing wastewater by up to 80%. In other words, if the current system requires 10 gallons of tap water to produce a gallon of pure water (10:1), adding a Permeate Pump should reduce this ratio below 3:1. This pump can also bring storage tanks up to line pressure and then shut the system down when these tanks reach capacity, eliminating the need for a hydraulic shut-off valve. Other benefits include higher delivery pressures, faster RO water production, superior water quality, and extended filter/membrane life.
